I'm a management consultant. I'm a one-man show. And I'm effective. Why? Because:

  • What you see is what you get - I do the work.
  • I have no staff - I aim to get the best from yours.
  • I have low overheads, so I charge fair fees.
  • I do as much work as you need, and no more.
  • I'm dependable, but I won't make you dependent

I help people to think through difficult issues, and to act effectively to make things better. While I'm a generalist myself, I work well with specialists when they're needed, and I know some who I trust and recommend.

I hold an MBA from Henley, an MA in Management Learning from Lancaster University, a Certificate in Counselling Skills from the Westminster Pastoral Foundation, and a Certificate in Coaching from Henley.

As a consultant, my key clients in 2008 were BP, the BBC, and HSBC. I've helped all of them with projects around people resourcing and development.

As an educator, I've taught Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership for the the Open University, the University of Liverpool, Laureate On-Line Education, the University of Bedfordshire, Majan College Oman, and Henley Management College.

My past employers include Deloitte & Touche, KPMG, the political think-tank Demos, the University of Cambridge, the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA), and IBM.

I offer you three key values in my work:

  • Fair dealing - we'll agree clearly what we're going to do before we start, and we'll stick to it or negotiate any changes.
  • Clear thinking - I'll think through carefully, fully, and fairly everything you and your people say to me.
  • Straight talking - I'll give you a clear, balanced, independent, intelligent view of what I see. I'll be helpful, polite, clear, and sharp. If I have to choose, I'll tell you what I think you need to know, not what I think you'd like to hear.

I'm always pleased to talk with other professionals, and initial discussions are free. You can call me on 07842 162044 in the UK, or +44 7482 162044 from elsewhere, or e-mail me at . I look forward to hearing from you!
